Marci trained as a Beauty Therapist in the Czech Republic in 1997-2000.With a flair for creative makeup, she participated in Fantasy Makeup Competitions in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic in 2000.

Experienced as a beauty consultant, she became a beauty lecturer for the Modeling Agency, teaching future models skincare and makeup applications for daily life, photography, and catwalks. She started her bridal makeup and hairstyling journey in 2002.

Marci trained in Advanced Makeup, Ethnic Skintones Makeup and Hairstyling with Mai Lee at Beauty Base School in London in 2009 and completed a Beauty Therapy course in the UK.

She keeps up with the current standards by constantly upgrading her skills with various trainings, whether online or in person: For heavy glam looks and new techniques, P.Louise Makeup Academy in Manchester or Elstile, Tonya Stylist, and Ulyana Aster’s for hair training.

Since 2011, I have worked as a makeup artist and session stylist in various photography studios in York, Harrogate, and Leeds. I also worked for Ross Charles hairdressing and created makeup looks for his L’Oréal colour trophy competitions. I work closely with photographer David Charles and his celebrity clients, like Jane McDonald.

This included doing hair and makeup for fashion shoots at various locations, pre-wedding photo shoots, pregnancy shoots and events (Miss York), promotional/corporate shoots and videos, and The Sun and Daily Mail photoshoots.

Marci is passionate about bridal hairstyling and makeup, creative editorial makeup looks, and simple looks that highlight the individual’s natural beauty in the most minimalistic way. She has never stopped learning and trying new things, and that’s the beauty of this job! This has resulted in never-ending continuous growth, job satisfaction, and happy clients. 

If not painting faces or sculpting hair, Marci paints and draws on paper and canvas in her spare time. She also produces creative vegetarian, vegan, or raw dishes.
